Overview of the HP 100b all-in-one Destop Computer by David Wilson
HP is ahead of the rest of the computer industry when it comes to all-an-one desktop PCs and the HP 100B is a fitting tribute to that statement.
It’s a great choice for anyone wanting to work from the comfort of their own home; the sleek design means that it frees up your desktop space for an uncluttered computing experience whilst still having the essential tools required for regular computer tasks.
The PC features a 20″ LED back-lit screen with a maximum resolution of 1600×900 and is ideal for watching online video when the need arises.
A great plus point for this machine is the built-in wireless connectivity so there is no need for an external Ethernet cable to attach to the internet.
The operating system is Windows 7 Professional which runs perfectly on the AMD E-350 1.6GHz processor and whilst the supplied 2GB of ram is sufficient for most applications it can be upgraded up to 8GB.
The HP 100B comes equipped with a tray loading DVD burner that can be found on the right hand side of the monitor for easy access and the built-in stereo speakers are of a high standard considering the budget price of the HP 100B.
The matte-black finish and sloped edges on the front of the HP 100B continue around the back. In the lower right corner, behind the screen, four USB 2.0 ports are arranged in a square, along with a Gigabit Ethernet port, a line-out port for speakers, and the power connector. Two more USB 2.0 ports sit along the left edge of the system, along with headphone and microphone jacks.
The hard drive is a 250GB and can be upgraded to 750GB but as this desktop is primarily a business computer 250GB should suffice for the majority of buyers.
This sleek and stylish addition to the HP all in one computer range of desktop PCs has been put together for people who want great performance from a home or office based computer without having to break the bank in order to get it. If you are looking for a gaming PC this is not the option for you but if you want to be able to surf the internet, watch video or catch up with work away from the office the HP 100b is highly recommended.
